MEET YOUR GUIDE

I'm Kate Walthour (she/her), and I'm passionate about creating spaces for calm, connection, and growth—always rooted in an ethic of love. With a professional background in social work and a deep commitment to supporting others on their journey toward wellbeing, I founded LugnLed to explore how these gifts might be of service.

Drawn to both mindfulness and time in nature, I discovered forest bathing as a powerful path to grounded presence, embodied awareness, and nervous system regulation. This grew into an ongoing exploration of reciprocity with the natural world—guided by biological, cultural, and spiritual alignment.

With gratitude and joy, I invite others to explore forest bathing—and other LugnLed experiences—in ways that feel authentic and meaningful to them.

LAND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

The Dakota people are the First People of Mni Sota MakoÌ£ce—the land where I live and where LugnLed’s forest bathing experiences take place. Today, Minnesota is home to five Dakota nations and seven Anishinaabe nations. Indigenous peoples maintain enduring historical, spiritual, and cultural relationships with this land, which remains illegally occupied and unceded.

I recognize the ongoing impacts of colonialism and commit to continued learning and to practices that address the injustices from which I have benefitted.

In 2025, LugnLed will donate 10% of all earnings to the following organizations, in support of Indigenous-led efforts toward healing, restoration, and justice:
